Houston Car Shows | Shifted | October 2020

This past weekend we hosted our second Shifted car show at La Centerra Cinco Ranch. With our first show being a success, we were very excited to come back for second time and make it even better!

CARS ROLLING INTO SHIFTED

To our surprise, we had a couple of cars arrive before we did, which was 6:40am. There was a thin layer of fog that morning and we noticed that sunrise was a litter later than last month. Around 7:30 is when a lot of the cars showed up to the car meet and we began to get everyone situated!

By 8am, we were getting close to having all of our spots filled with a wide variety of makes and models! The fog had become thinner and a beautiful blue sky became more visible!

SHIFTED BEGINS!

Once all of the spots were filled, we closed the barricades and enjoyed a beautiful morning with other car enthusiast at La Centerra!

COOL FINDS AT SHIFTED

Our second Shifted show at La Centerra was going great! We were able to show a great variety of cars with the amount of space we had. You may notice that the cars are spaced out. This was due to our efforts to social distance the cars to allow for spectators and participants to move around the cars and venue with an ample amount of room to social distance. This not only helped with social distancing but also provided an entirely different aspect to the show!

Lamborghini Diablo

The Diablo was made in the 90s and was one of the more flamboyant supercars to buy. Lamborghini has always had a way of making their cars stand out. Big vents, wide body, and big V12 at the back roaring. You don't really see too many Diablos today. Not only are they almost three decades old now, but Lamborghini didn't make that many Diablos coming in at around 2,000 units made (estimated).

FORD RS COSWORTH

The whole reason the Ford RS Escort Cosworth came about was for the World Rally Championship. The car was designed to compete as a Group A car and it did so between 1993 and 1998. It was 4WD and featured a Cosworth 4 cylinder turbo engine that pushed out around 370hp... BUT these engines were really tunable and many people had these cars pushing 500hp, 600hp or more. The one down below is actually a Miki biasion edition #24/120. Miki Biason editions were very limited and were even more rally focused. They didn't come with the electric sunroof or electric windows.

Nissan R34 Skyline V-SPEC II

Just about all Skylines are considered to be halo cars but the R34 sits at the top as king. Most people know it was Brians car but even outside of the hype from The Fast and The Furious the R34 is such a unique car. Like the R33, the new R34 GT-R V·Spec (Victory Specification) models come equipped with the ATTESA E-TS Pro system and an Active LSD at the rear, while standard GT-R models come with the non-Pro system and a conventional mechanical differential. The V·Spec model also has firmer suspension and lower ground clearance, thanks to front and side splitters, as well as a rear carbon fibre air diffuser, designed to keep air flowing smoothly under the car. This car has a legendary status and is easily recognizable by any car enthusiast and holds a lot of respect and praise in the community.

SHIFTED CAR SHOW OCTOBER 2020

Ultimately, we couldn't have been happier with the turnout for our second Shifted car show at La Centerra and want to thank everyone who came out! Our next stop will be our Car Culture show at Shops at Arrive this coming weekend, October 17th at 10am!
